Privacy Policy

Hantitrade, founded and run by Mustafa Muse, runs hantitrade.com, a marketplace where people list shares in private Somali companies, make offers, and record the agreements they reach. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@hantitrade.com.
1. Data we collect
Account data. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your email address and the name on that account. You choose your avatar on Hantitrade.
Profile data. Before you use the marketplace, you give your legal first, middle and last name, a phone number that we check with a one-time SMS code, and the country of your identity document.
Identity verification. Before you can sell, our provider Didit checks your identity document and a selfie. Didit collects those images. We receive the result and the identity details Didit returns, such as your name as it appears on the document, so we can match them to your account.
Shareholdings and certificates. When you list shares, you give the company, the name on the company's share register, the number of shares, and the share certificates you upload. Before we approve a listing, Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, may read a certificate to help our team check it against the listing. Our team makes the decision.
Marketplace activity. We store your listings, offers, counteroffers, buy requests, the messages you send in a deal, and the status of each deal.
Company confirmations. When we ask a company to confirm a holding, we store the company contact's email address, the answer, and any document the company sends with it.
Technical data. We record your IP address for security and rate limiting, basic device and browser data, and how you use the site through PostHog analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to run your account and the marketplace, to verify sellers and their shares before a listing goes live, to show the other party in a deal the details they need, and to send you emails about your account, offers and deals.
We also use it to prevent fraud and abuse, to enforce our Terms of Service, to fix problems and improve the service, and to meet legal duties.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who sees your data
Other users. A live listing shows its company, share count, price and the seller's public profile. When you make or accept an offer, the other party sees what the deal needs, including your messages in that deal.
Companies. When we confirm a holding, we send the company contact the register name and the number of shares in question.
Service providers. These companies process data for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Vercel (hosting and performance data), Didit (identity verification), Resend (email delivery), Upstash (rate limiting), PostHog (product analytics), Anthropic (reading share certificates for our review team), Google and GitHub (sign-in), Google (our company email) and the SMS provider Supabase uses to send phone codes. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
Legal reasons. We may share data when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of Hantitrade.
4. Where your data is processed
Our service providers may store and process data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. These may not be the country where you live.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. We keep the record of a deal for as long as we need it to settle disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal duties, even after you close your account. We delete or anonymize data that we no longer need.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email support@hantitrade.com from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days.
We cannot delete the record of a completed deal while we still need it for the reasons above. The law where you live may give you more rights.
7. Security
Certificates are kept in private storage. Access to personal data is limited by role, and data travels over encrypted connections. No system is fully secure, so tell us at once if you think your account is at risk.
8. Age limit
Hantitrade is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has an account, contact us and we will close it.
9. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
10. Contact
Email support@hantitrade.com with any question about your data or this policy.
